凯莱布-马丁交易评级解析：独行侠获C- 76人收获A级评估

This trade can be seen as a "remedial measure" for the 76ers after signing Caleb Martin to a four-year, $40 million deal last July. At that time, given their limited salary cap space following the acquisition of Paul George, this move appeared smart. I rated it an “A” in free agency signings due to its creativity (including an unlikely-to-trigger incentive clause worth $5 million that does not count against the cap). However, seven months later, my confidence in this signing has waned.

Kyleb Martin is clearly not responsible for the 76ers’ sub-.500 record this season; however, he also failed to emerge as a key problem-solver. Despite boasting a three-point shooting percentage of 38%—higher than his career average of 36%—his overall scoring efficiency lags below average with only a 47% success rate on two-pointers—the lowest since his rookie year (36%). Defensively, he hasn't made significant contributions either: although he's taken on relatively tough defensive assignments (with opponents using him at rates above team averages), there hasn’t been much impact on team defense metrics during his tenure.

Dallas Mavericks  评分：C -

The Mavericks' decision was surprising considering they just traded away Luka Doncic and acquired Max Christie through Davis's transaction. While Christie offers similar skills and youth compared to Kyleb Martin—and appears locked into what could become quite favorable contract terms—it seems like Dallas might have benefited from pursuing another playmaker instead.
